S U I T: a set of outer clothes made of the same fabric and designed to be worn together, typically consisting of a jacket and trousers or a jacket and skirt.
Can we talk about a power suit for a second? I started a corporate job about a year ago so having a suit was essential. However, even though I work in corporate for my 9 to 5, I am a creative and self-expression is very important. Today women have taken suits to another level in fashion. We have changed the shape and style, adding bold prints and colors, and made it more form fitting. I personally love a bold color and the summertime is the best time to take your suit to the next level. I choose a color that is trending this season which is neon green. As soon as I saw this suit I knew it was a “gotta-have”. What I love about this suit is that the jacket is fitted and the pants are a slim fit that stop just above the ankle so you can show off a BAD shoe. If you want to tone down making a statement in this suit you can simply separate the pieces by wearing the jacket with black pants, or the pants with a different top. If you worked in a corporate office I recommend wearing a solid black pump. The color of the suit is all the statement you need! But if you work in a creative space or are wearing this to an event, I say let the shoes speak! Since it’s summer I chose to pair this suit with neon green Steve Madden sandals that have a clear heel. A good quality suit can be expensive so I suggest buying it during a sale weekend or when you have a coupon.
